「怪獣絵師」の異名を自ら称する。
その実力は『ウルトラマン』シリーズ、『ゴジラ』シリーズ『機動戦士ガンダム』シリーズのプラモデル等のパッケージビジュアルなど数多くの有名作品が裏付ける。第28回日本SF大賞（特別賞）など、SF・ファンタジー業界での人気は不動。
